Suzi’s Chinese: Authentic Chinese Cuisine in Austin, TX

The Food was amazing, the service was stellar, but the atmosphere was "meh"— nothing exciting to report. I had a friend recommend lunch there and I was not disappointed. I tried the Orange Beef from there menu. It. Was. AmZaZing. Wow. Food was fresh, hot, and made extremely quickly. The service was above par with constant attention to drinks and needs. The atmosphere was okay. It was a bit cramped in terms of size and the decor wasn't anything to write home about. Overall I highly recommend this place for business lunches, and very small social meet ups. Going by yourself or one other may be the best option to fully appreciate the food and space available.

EASY 5 star. First of all, we received amazing service and hospitality. When we arrived, only outdoor seats were available, so the staff seated us outside. They wheeled over a large fan and repeatably asked if we were cool and comfortable. They even offered to move us inside once seating opened up! We stayed outside but really appreciated the service. I ordered the chicken low mein, which was delicious; the noodles were amazing, and the chicken and vegetables complemented them perfectly. My dad enjoyed his General Tso’s Chicken, and I got to try a piece, which was pretty tasty. My mother dined on some basil shrimp and said that “everything about it was phenomenal, from the mushrooms to the flavorful sauce to the jalapeno slices and the abundance of shrimp”. Our appetizer of Crab Rangoon was piping hot and a good way to start this dining experience. Throughout our dinner, we were checked on with great care and treated very well by the staff. At the end, we received Neapolitan fortune cookies. This place is a must-try.

Really great Chinese restaurant next to Pint House. The service was great, the food came out fast and hot, and everyone seemed to be devouring their plates. The have an inside and outside area, sake, bottled beer, and wine. Everything was so great and we can't wait to come back again!!

The food is very fresh. Dumplings are excellent-- thin skin. Garlic chicken. Good support for gluten free if needed.

Great place to get food in Austin!!! All of the employees were so nice and generous! They asked us a couple different times if we needed more rice for our meals and even put some in the to go box without us asking. Our server also gave us a second round of fortune cookies unprompted! They were able to execute the modification in my order (sauce on side instead of on the sweet and sour chicken). The food was very yummy, and I was impressed by how spotless and modern the dining room was. I would definitely recommend!

Suzie’s Chinese Restaurant is an absolute gem. The moment you walk in, you’re greeted by none of them and Suzie herself warm, friendly and makes you feel like a regular, even on your first visit. The food is good. Every dish comes out hot, fresh, chicken dishes to the tender beef and vibrant vegetables that still have a nice crisp bite to them. It’s the kind of place where you feel like family! You never feel like you’re just another table; they genuinely seem happy you’re there. It’s the type of hospitality that keeps me wanting to come back again and again.

Food was so good I didn’t get photos before devouring it! Suzi was on staff and took great care of us. Servers were on top of everything. Chefs worked their magic. Nothing bad to say in the entire experience. Try the…egg rolls (triple up), Mongolian beef, beef and broccoli, and Lo Mein combo for great results. Their hot mustard slaps HARD with the egg rolls. Will I go back? Not soon enough! Can’t wait.

Very good. They gave us a warm welcome. Beautiful clean place, the best jasmine tea I’ve ever had. They use loose leaf tea. Perfect! The beef and broccoli was quite good also (huge portion) and the chili oil has the right amount of heat and flavor. Will return on my next visit to Austin!
